For eons, nature has been observed reverently by its humble devotees. We have keenly studied how every aspect looks so effortlessly beautiful, how the minor differences among each element that creates nature as a whole are obtained through nothing but colors!
This painting represents the topic of nature’s nuances in a vivid manner. If you pay close attention to the subtle changes of color in the petals of the sunflower, they range from different yet similar shades of yellow. This comparison can also be drawn from the various shades of green used in the leaves. This play of colors through which nature seamlessly creates its nuances of familiarity mingled with uniqueness produces the beauty that we so often admire and are impressed by. As humans, we notice these nuances but seldom manage to acknowledge them, to learn from them. Nature’s greatest lesson is poignantly displayed through the distinction of colors, depicting how as humans we are all similar in more than one way but each has an extraordinary quality that distinguishes them from the rest. Just like each individual petal, when we come together to celebrate our differences, we produce something truly divine – a sunflower constantly growing towards the light.
